This is a solvent and cleaning solution developed by the manufacturer of Krytox. It can be used to dissolve and remove fluorinated lubricants. Fluorinated lubricants, such as Krytox and TriboSys, can be extremely difficult to remove once applied. It's recommended to keep some of this product nearby when working with lubricants, in case of spillage, mis-application, or over-lubrication. Vertrel™ XF specialty fluid is a proprietary hydrofluorocarbon (HFC) fluid with zero ozone-depletion potential (ODP). Vertrel™ XF is ideally suited for use in co-solvent systems and vapor degreasing equipment for cleaning, rinsing, and drying. It also is ideally suited for many specialty applications, including as a particulate cleaner, fluorocarbon lubricant or adhesive carrier, heat transfer fluid, and dielectric fluid.
