The Topre Realforce R2 board uses unique high reliability electrostatic capacitive switches included in many Topre keyboards manufactured for use in banks, airports and other critical environments. The Topre capacitive key switches are a patented hybrid between a mechanical spring based switch, a rubber dome switch and a capacitive sensor which when combined offer tactility, comfort and excellent durability. These switches also require no physical mechanical coupling and therefore key switch noise is reduced. This keyboard features 30 gram weighted keyswitches.

The depressing force is smooth while pressing keys. The low restitution provides comfortable deep stroke feeling. It is not necessary to depress the key to the bottom when entering keys.

Topre Realforce R2 comes with high quality, long-life PBT keycaps. The legend is printed with a dye-sublimation process that dyes the color of the plastic which will never wear out.
